04.23.11 - The Laketon Inn - Lakewood, NJ

Howdy, Dan here reporting on all the happenings in our little world of rock and roll. First off we as usual would love to thank all the SR fans who came out to our last show at the Laketon this past Saturday. It always nice when myself and Matt get to return to our home town to rock out for our fans that have been supporting us since the beginning. These shows we do at the Laketon are for you guys, and we appreciate you're support.

Last Saturday's show at "The Tin" was one of the best in a while. The weather is starting to warm and people are starting to come out of hibernation with an itch to scratch. We here at Stolen Rhodes are always more than willing to scratch your itch for epic rock and roll. Saturday's show was a two and a half hour long, two set extravaganza, that featured an old SR tune that we haven't played since the summer (Take Me Home), and the return to the set list of Pearl Jam's Rearviewmirrior. A raucous set indeed that also included a sing along to Keeps Us Moving and the bombastic 1-2 closing punch of One Day Everyday and the Springsteen classic Rosalita. The show also featured myself rolling around on the ground acting out the final verse to Spirit In The Night. Matt's new song Lying Low is quickly working its way into solid rotation, and Dan's forthcoming new song Eyes should be joining the set list rotation shortly.

Make sure you are around this weekend as SR plays two shows in three days. In the early afternoon on Saturday SR will be playing at Communiversity on the campus of Princeton University, and later that afternoon we will be performing Surf Taco Jackson's annual Cinco de Taco Festival. The show in Princeton is scheduled to start at 1:15 while the time for our show at Surf Taco will be announced very shortly. Keep an eye on for that set time. On Sunday we will be playing an early morning show at the Spring Fling in Westfield, NJ. SR hits the stage at 11:30 AM. hope to see you all for this run of shows.
